Amayra - a completely family-owned business - was birthed from a legacy that goes decades back, the founding stones of which were laid by Mr. Rajendra Bagrecha.
With a straightforward yet incredible vision: "Jewelry for the soul, from the soul”, Rajendra Bagrecha's son Sanjay Bagrecha took on the reins and diversified from precious gems trading to jewellery making.
Over 49 years, they have slowly and gradually carved their niche and developed expertise in jewellery making techniques.

AMAYRA boutique is about imagining, dreaming and creating, to give shape to exceptional jewellery. It is one of a kind designer boutique in India where you can not only buy the jewellery but can also experience and see the whole process from conceptualisation of a product to its sales everything takes place under one roof. New and innovative designs are constantly created and re-imagined, to blend the timeless with the contemporary.

The foundation stone of present-day Amayra Jewellery was laid down over four decades ago by Mr. Rajendra Bagrecha. Born in Sujangarh - a small town in Rajasthan, India - Mr. Bagrecha envisioned a future as a diamond dealer and set forth to pursue his dreams in Kolkata. With humble beginnings, Mr Bagrecha persevered through every challenge and soon moved to New Delhi. Over the years, he established himself as a prominent personage in the industry, soon making the Bagrecha name a legacy. From 1970 till date, Bagrecha Gems has garnered an impressive reputation in the Gems and Jewellery industry.
A health-conscious individual, Mr Bagrecha plays badminton quite often and also finds his muse in martial arts.
Sanjay Bagrecha
Surrounded by diamonds and gems from a young age, Mr. Sanjay Bagrecha, the second generation of Bagrecha family into the gems and jewellery industry, diversified from diamond trading into retail to concentrate on his passion for design and hence AMAYRA was created.
Sanjay has lived in London and spent considerable time at auction houses like Christie's, Sotheby’s and Bonhams. From the diamantaires accords of Israel to Antwerp, Sanjay has been exposed to many international bodies that enriched his experience in the diamond business.
Outside the world of gems and glitter, Sanjay loves to dedicate his time to fitness. He is a yoga enthusiast and globetrotting seems to have remained a forever love for him.
Rahul Bagrecha
As the Head of Operations at Amyra, Rahul is diligent in his curation and administration. He joined the enterprise in 2011 after completing his MBA from IIPM. From store management to achieving optimal results, Rahul employs a solutions-oriented approach while driving business growth and strategic alliances. As a gem connoisseur, his main interest lies in the procurement of diamonds across India. This involves a continuous process of studying jewellery trends across the world, researching with new vendors and taking stringent quality control measures, and Rahul delivers diligently.
When not at work Rahul likes to work out and cycle. Considering the kind of inspiration he finds in precision, glamour and speed, it is only natural that his first love is Formula
Pooja Bagrecha
A successful former banker having majorly dealt with finances for large firms, Pooja Bagrecha's journey with Amayra began in the year 2015. Having been associated with firms like Standard Chartered, Citibank and the likes, Pooja brings to the table incredible expertise in resource management and organised administration. Pooja has been diligently taking care of the marketing and communications front at Amayra along with asset management and her forte - finances.
A proud mother of two beautiful boys, Pooja is an inspiring modern woman in business who balances her personal and professional life very well. She loves to cook and bake to relax. She finds her muse in travelling, learning about different cities, people and cultures.
